Our True Thoughts on Appearance

It may not be priority No.1 for a lot of us…

But 99% of us would be lying if we claimed that we did not care about our appearance in the slightest.

The truth is,

Most people do care… at least a bit

Which is totally fine…

However

When it comes to exercise & training, it can be a problem if a change in appearance is the only goal.

APPEARANCE AS THE ONLY MOTIVATION CAN CREATE A PRETTY STRESSFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH EXERCISE & NUTRITION

For example

People can become obsessed with things like step counts & calories burned

And while your smartwatch or Fitbit might be happy with that

Soon your mind & body will not.

You don’t need to move to satisfy the tech in your watch.

Move to satisfy YOU

For example, I recently saw a friend drinking a glass of wine while running up and down the stairs at 11.55 pm in order to get their ‘required steps’ on their Fitbit before midnight…

Personally, I’d prefer to just enjoy the drink in comfort and avoid the obvious contradiction.

Maybe I’m wrong but…it might work in the short term but you do not want to be at that sort of behaviour long term.
